Always the contrarian, though he may well be correct

Sao Paulo is banning outdoor advertising.

...I suspect the city is more attractive with the commercial angle. The underlying buildings are mostly ugly, so a fanciful clutter will do better than an attempt at sleek postmodernism.

Have you noticed how global warming is suddenly on the agenda. Even megacities like Chicago are suddenly landscaping the roofs of their tower blocks? We have a similar project in London, but it hasn't gained much potential yet. Is 2007 the year we suddenly take notice? PS I like your blog.
