It's very good to see politicos like Andrew Sullivan — otherwise non-specialists in the built environment — asking questions such as What makes a New England cottage charming? I haven't yet digested the link to which Sullivans directs us but it's excellent to see people attempting to deal with the question in an analytical, thoughtful way. We need far more of it.
