If BP is Uniquely Bad, is BP Uniquely Profitable?

Is BP Uniquely Bad? 

If so then BP should be more profitable. 

Conversely, if BP has not shown a clear record of above peer-group (i.e. the other oil majors) profits over the past 5-10 (?) years, then that might call into question that BP is not that bad. Or further conversely, then the other majors have been better at hiding is sloppy oil field practices.

It would be truly a bitter irony if BP were so truly and uniquely bad — and then didn't even make a whole lot more profit.
