Prince Charles, the people's streetfighter
It was a memorable article and "the people’s streetfighter" is certainly a vivid phrase.
And after re-reading the article, and especially in light of the Iraniian Embassy proposal,
Iranian embassy plans upset locals
The paper reports that a local residents group has written to Prince Charles asking him to step in to stop the development. Charles has apparently become a kind of NIMBY superhero. By day he's a mild-mannered heir to the British throne but by night,he fights his arch-nemesis the evil doctor modernism...
my questions are:
• whether Prince Charles will intervene again?
• and if so, how? i.e. behind the scenes to other grandees? or by public testimony in front of a planning agency?
It seems to me that if and how Prince Charles takes part in commenting on proposed development, we will learn a lot about the future of the Royal Family (or at least Prince Charles' future.)
