From Jim's online bookstore, in association with AMAZON.com.
I have this book... The "devil is in the details" as far as urban design goes; and this book is FANTASTIC! I recommend that you purchase multiple copies of it to give to your planning commissioners or appeals board members.
Ahh! Why did I follow the link. I agree you have a great book, but Jim lists all these other temptresses of print that I have no business buying!
Question: if I mention your book, should I point people to buy it at your blog or should I send them to Amazon?

Now there's a good question.
In fact I have been pondering it and whether I should keep selling through Amazon. So far I have no answer except to keep the status quo for a while.
Amazon can be annoying in the passive voice with which it deals with suppliers like me -- of course it's a large bureaucracy so that is natural. But still annoying.
The main business issue is whether Amazon generates sales or merely fulfills them.
I do not know yet. Any insights appreciated.

I wouldn't have known about your book without Amazon. Even with the Georgia Tech and AIA bookstores nearby, I had never seen or heard of City Comforts before Amazon recommended it to me. Unfortunately at the time it was out of print (or out of print as far as Amazon was concerned) so I had a pay a nice premium to buy it used. But it was well worth it. I just wish I had known to wait for the color edition.

One more distribution comment:
If you produce another edition of the book, think about purchasing an good domain name and place it on the cover of the book (bottom center?). This will help drive traffic to your site from Amazon, which not only will give you more sales through your preferred channel but also gain more readership for your blog.
