The author, Mr. Rory Stewart, MP, in THE OPIUM IS OUR CHILDREN, says that
"People who might once have been public figures, deeply invested in their work, are instead busy serving their children."
Is there any factual basis for such a statement? It's an interesting assertion but only that -- an assertion with no facts behind.
And since the assertion is the core of his argument, I am a bit perplexed.
Moreover, THE most pressing global questions -- raising up the poor while we create sustainable economies -- seems to be unanswered. So while Mr. Stewart says we are paying too much attention to our heirs we don't seem to be doing a very good job at it. And that is the most important issue.
